What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Connoisseur Dry Cleaners offer various services to the public. We have to hold the details of people who have requested the service in order to provide it.

We collect information about you when you:

  • Visit our store
  • Register an account on our website
  • Purchase services on our website
  • Take part in competitions
  • Contact our store in any way

You will be asked to provide information such as your contact details. We will store this data and hold it on our epos system. We will use this data to fulfil our service with you. We may use information to contact you by e-mail, telephone ,electronic messages, post or otherwise.

  • To employees of Connoisseur Dry Cleaners to reconcile accounts, products and services provided to you by us now or in the future;
  • To other organisations for services we outsource such as large rugs.

When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time and are given an easy way of doing this.

If you use a contact form to contact us it will be stored indefinitely. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

The only data that is shared is the data obtained by Google Analytics, Word Press and Woo Commerce and passed to us.
Connoisseurs does not share this data with any other organisation.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

When clients provide their contact details Connoisseur Dry Cleaners will use this information for it’s own purposes such as arranging a collection, validating a payment or discussing a previous / on-going service that we are providing.
